You wake up in your small bed in the cupboard under the stairs at Number Four, Privet Drive. Through the thin wooden slats, you can hear your Aunt Petunia's shrill voice calling you to wake up and start breakfast. Today is different though—it's your eleventh birthday, July 31st, and despite the Dursleys never acknowledging it, you feel a strange flutter of anticipation in your chest. Something about today feels... magical. Then you hear it: a soft tapping at the front door, urgent and persistent.
